About us
BIVTA: British and Irish Veterinary Technicians Association
BIVTA, the British and Irish Veterinary Technicians Association, was established by a passionate group of Vet Techs and Veterinary Professionals. This distinguished team consists of Natalie Parker, the Vet Tech coordinator from LLM Vets; James Kenworthy, a highly skilled Vet Surgeon; Meg Lawrence, a passionate Vet Tech from Tyndale Vets; Karen McNeil, a dedicated Vet Tech from Paragon Vets; and Nicola Bowers, an experienced Vet Tech from Farmvet.
At BIVTA, our primary goal is to promote and advance the field of Veterinary Technicians in the British and Irish regions. We aim to provide a platform for Vet Techs to connect, collaborate, and uplift each other in their careers.
We recognise the need for general information on the vital role of a Vet Tech, and thus, we offer comprehensive resources for anyone interested in understanding the scope and responsibilities of this profession. Vet Techs play a crucial role in supporting Veterinarians and ensuring the overall well-being of the animals we love.
Additionally, BIVTA acknowledges the importance of facilitating access to employment opportunities for Vet Techs. We provide a dedicated section on our website that lists the latest job vacancies from various veterinary practices. This service acts as a bridge, linking passionate Vet Techs with potential employers who value their skills and expertise.
Moreover, BIVTA is committed to assisting veterinary practices in establishing their own Veterinary Technician services. We readily offer guidance and support to practices interested in incorporating Vet Techs into their team.
In summary, BIVTA is an organisation created by Veterinary Professionals who are dedicated to uplifting and advancing the field of Veterinary Technicians in the British and Irish regions. We offer general information on the role of Vet Techs, provide access to job vacancies, and extend our support to veterinary practices seeking to initiate or enhance their Vet Tech services. Join us today and become a part of a vibrant community of veterinary paraprofessionals committed to excellence in animal care.
